So are you saying that you want a triangular shaped cage that will fit into a corner? And you're asking how wide the front display you think should be and how long each side that will be touching the walls should be?

Overlapping the screen on itself about an inch along the sides and using large staples should work.

Whats melamine:eek:

It's like plywood but with a thin water resistent material covering it. It's good; it's what I'm going to use when I get the time and money to build a cage :p.

yep that sounds about right

Alright, I see the dimensions but I just don't understand them . Correct me if I'm wrong but do you want the cage to be 8' tall and have 5' long walls running on both of your house walls?[/QUyeah sry wasnt sure how to word it will correct what it means.sofar i have two cage plan ideas.a 8ft high cage with 15 inches on the sides and front screened.idea #2 is 4ft high sides on the walls of the house but it would only be 11inches wide with the entire front screened. any other ideas are very wellcome

If you are going to use melamine, I would make darn sure you seal the ends of it. It is not typically plywood, it is pressed wood and when it gets we it swells.

Arrghhhh I'm so confused  hahaha. Sorry it's just you probably know how it is sometimes when you have an idea and when you explain it someone else just doesn't get it, well this is one of those times lol. I don't understand where you state "15 inches on the sides" and for the your 2nd idea "it would only be 11 inches wide with the entire front screened." See what I am considering to be the "wide" dimension is the front viewing part of the cage that you say you want to screen. What are you referring to as the "wide" dimension because I know you wouldn't be talking about the front being only 15 or 11 inches from left to right?

ok guys I tried the best I could right now im very tired and its kida late but this should be good enouth hopefully.if not i will try again tomarrow.

Alright I now were getting somewhere. A few things you should think of what cham your getting and your budget. If you build a cage of your first idea you should be filling it with lots of plants that may get quite expensive for such a large enclosure. As for the cham what is it going to be?

i know,I already have serveral plants that need moveing around and some cliping growing and some plants i want to buy out of my pocket&it will probly be a vailed chameleon.Idk if it is helpful but I live in florida.

I'd recommend FL Chams, since you're in Florida he wouldn't have a long journey to your home which will be less stressful on him. That's where I got my male Veiled, he's a normal and was $40. Check him out on my profile and that's sorta what you could expect from one of their norms. They also have Turquoise that are a bit more expensive but are very colorful. As far as the cages, I have mine in a 4' tall cage but they are arboreal and would love the extra 4'. So either one, but I've been trying to figure out the length of the front panels on both cages using math triangle theorems but I just can't figure it. Haven't done math like that in a while and my brain feels like it's gonna explode.

I think you're going to end up with an equilateral triangle cage that your Cham won't be able to move around much in because after you frame it, 15" is going to be squished, 8ft is great but I think you would be better served with a traditional squared/rectangled dimension. Also, no miter cuts. It won't fit as nicely into a corner but will be more utilitarian.

Yeah your right. I got thrown off by the pictures lol. The front panels looked good but they weren't to scale with everything else.
