Okay so this might be a dumb question so plz dont go off on me i'm a beginner but i have water conditioner for my betta fish that use to make his water safe for him and i was wondering if i could use it to make tap water safe for my cham to drink. if it's not okay, it's totally not a problem i can get reptisafe i just dont wanna have to spend money if i don't need to lmao

thank you!

I'd like to know this also. Currently I use tap water as it is I drink it myself but I have multiple liters of seachem prime which is a dechlorinator and binds ammonia. Probably won't ever try it but just curious..

I dont have an answer for this but I just use tap water that i run through a basic carbon filter like a brita water filter. Haven't had any issues.

I wouldn't use it due to the added colloids to help protect the gills and slime coat on the fish. Otherwise it would probably be fine.

Reptisafe Ingredients...

Water, Dechloraminating Agent, Synthetic Organic Polymers (Colloids), Chelating Agent, Electrolytes.

Betasafe Ingredients...

Sodium hydroxymethane sulfinate, polyvinyl pyrollidones, organic hydrocollids, organic chelating compounds
