Cham eye messed up

My chams eye is almost completly closed. Has been for almost 2 months. I have 1 exotic vet in town. He keeps giving me "exoctic drops" Which if I remember is the same he gave me for my Iguanas mouth infection.

I read chams clean their eyes out via drinking water which I have been trying to fill him up and nothing. I also heard about this silver stuff from the vet... Any suggestions?

Chams do heal slowly, but if he hasn't shown improvement in nearly 2 months then it seems like it's time to switch medications.
They do rinse out their eyes but water isn't going to heal an infection or cure a vitamin A deficiency.
The only "silver stuff" that I know of can't be used in the eyes but is great for burns and some skin infections (silver sulfadiazine cream aka Silvadene)

It is also the time to carefully review your care to see if there is a likely cause for the infection.
Sometimes things go unnoticed, such as an accumulation of stagnant water or now that the indoor temperature is colder than in the summer the basking site is cooler than you think it is, or you have used the same UV bulb for a year and don't realize that they must be replaced every 6 months since they put out too little UV although they light up brightly, etc.

The how to ask for help form is fantastic because others might see something that isn't quite right that you didn't know about or were given the wrong information about.

Was the chameleon's eye flushed by the vet? Was the reason for the eye issue found, an infection, foreign body inside, a fistula from oral cavity...? Was a blood sample or a swab of the flush fluid done to see whether there's an infection going on or not? If not, those examinations should be done soon. Two months without any improvement are quite too long to continue with eye drops (by the way, do you know the ingredients?). If it was e.g. a bacterial infection, there might be bacteria that can't be fight only with eye drops or certain antibiotics. Those need resistance tests to choose the right treatment and/or systemic medication to be fought successfully. Or if it was a foreign body the chameleon can't get out on its own, he won't recover as long as the irritating thing's still under the eye lid. Hope the eye isn't damaged yet and can be saved.
