chameleon dying ?

Ps, I drive 40 miles to get to my vet. And there are alternatives, such as care credit, or if you are up front with them, they will probably work out some sort of payment plan lan for you.
I don't own a car... nor how to drive... because I am not old enough...

Imho the issue is more than dehydration. Your chameleon is sick.
I drive an hour to see a good vet every time one of my critters needs to go. You do what you have to when you have a pet.
I don't like to see an animal suffer.

I recommend putting the money and effort into the one you have. And I would do is sooner than later.Best of luck. I must go back to my big girl job, now.

I don't like to see an animal suffer either , right now I'm giving him a shower for 30 to 40 mins to see if that will help or not

I see where you're coming from i'm not trying to be cruel saying it's cheap , and I do love him, and if it comes down to it I might have to get a new one (if it comes down to that) do you think I want him to suffer of course not , but if I were to get a new one it wouldn't replace him.

If you can't afford or handle taking care of this one, you certainly shouldn't be considering buying another. If your circumstances change, then it would be different. Some of the biggest costs of caring for ANY animal is the veterinary care they may require when things go wrong, not to mention the costs of taking care of them correctly. Those are the real costs you have to consider before purchasing a living breathing thing.

I know it is necessary... the nearest vet to me is like 30 minutes and it will cost me more to fix him then to get a new one

Wow. If that's how you feel, honestly maybe don't get another. Sorry your chameleon is sick, more sorry that you're indifferent to something that is clearly alive and rather just watch it suffer. When you care about something that is alive I'm sorry to say this but it's going to need time and care and it's going to cost money. And it's definitely going to cost more money then how much you paid for it; that goes from any animal really healthy or not because generally they outlive the day you first purchase them. Please, if you've made multiple threads and they all say the same thing in the end and you're not going to do anything about it stop posting. It's only going to irritate others and then this will turn into a witch hunt. Then someone will be like "this forums sucks how can you guys bully this person blah blah blah" and then someone else will say "read their other post blah blah" and then some person will be like "this place is mean" and I'm just not in the mood. Especially when someone doesn't even want to try because they can just buy a new one.

I honestly blame Petco they told me all the wrong things that I needed to know. Until I found these forums now I'm actually getting the right advice.

Leave him alone he's doing the best he can. just because some people can't afford to go to the vet doesn't mean they hate their pet. best of luck to you

If he isn't eating at all or drinking, you might have to help him manually eat/drink. It can be very stressful so make sure only to do it if your chameleon won't eat at all.

Dude please these animals are something you invite into your life you should protect and nurash them if you cant properly take care of them and take them to the vet like a good chameleon keeper then you should not have invited him into your life TAKE HIM TO A VET

This is wrong. I don't think he "hates" his pet. But I also don't think he should have gotten it if he couldn't take it to the vet. You never get ANY animal of ANY kind if you can't take it to the vet. Even if they never need the vet, they always have the RIGHT to be taken to a vet. So, it's your responsibility to somehow pay for it since you are taking them on, willingly.
