Chameleon having a nightmare!

Last night I was on my computer and Kiddo's(4 months male Veiled) cage is next to my desk. I heard a loud sigh so I went to the cage to take a close look at him; I saw him shaking left to right for around 15 seconds then he's still again. Right after the shaking, his black dots and stripes start to appear for a minute then slowly went away.

Has this ever happen with anyone else? Do chameleons have dreams and nightmares?

yes sir, they sure do! I've seen both of my boys do similar things, my faly went almost completely white with black bars. It definitely freaked me out though

I've seen eye movements that were really pronounced and a little twitch or sigh. I've never seen a colour change in them at all though, sounds like interesting viewing
