He is a little over 5 months old. He does like to be held especially when I take home outside for a short visit. We do this everyday. We have opened his door and left it open and he never moved to get out. His temps and humidity are all good. He just seems like he is scratching one side of his habit like he wants to escape. He is trying to get out, nothing wrong with that. Age and Sex? As chams age their hormones drive them to explore their world and find a mate just like our hormones do to us. Prob all that's happening here but I can't open your pic to see if maybe his enclosure needs some tweaking.
He let you handle him? Often?
All chams want to climb as high as they can so maybe open his door and step back for a bit and see if comes out? If so consider free ranging occasionally or physically raising his cages elevation in your room so he feels "above it all."
Great advice. Thank you so much. I just want a healthy happy baby boy.Just opened your pic. I would definatly add some more horizontal branches the width of your cage at the top to give him a place to rest without having to cling to a vertical object.
