Craigslist Chameleon (Continued!)

So the other night I ran across this chameleon on Craigslist! It seemed like a great offer, but I wanted to check with you guys before I bought him. (I would've just continued this thread onto the other one from yesterday, but it got deleted...)

Anyway she responded with more information, and I just wanted to know what you guys thought about it.

This is what she responded with:

"• Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
This being one of the reasons we are looking for a new home as we don't have much time for all his needs. But, handling him, we only took him out of his cage once or twice a week.
• Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
We feed him crickets and meal worms.. He isn't a big fan of anything non moving( the fruits they are allowed to eat). He eats a few of each every other day. We gut-load the crickets with the orange viramin/nutrient loaders.
• Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
We dust once or twice a week, depending on him. For the brand, I'm not 100 percent positive as I'm at work right now.
• Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
We have a dropper that we fill with distilled water as needed. We also have the spray bottle that we must with twice daily to keep humidity up. We have our dripper dripping onto his plants that we see him bathing and drinking from.
• Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
His droppings are consistent and hard, dark in color with the beige matter in it( urate). We haven't tested him for them, no ma'am.
• History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
He is an amazing pet, we just can't give him all the care he needs anymore.

Cage Info:
• Cage Type - What are the dimensions?
Approximately 16in wide and deep by 20 inches tall. Screened all around for climbing.
• Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
We use zoo med accessories and lights for the most part. We have UVB that is on from 7 am to 7 pm. And a heat lamp to bask in as well.
• Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
He stays pretty warm with his basking light on.. We don't measure temp very often. His cage won't get below 75 or 80 ever.
• Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
The humidity level stays between 65-55, and we have a gauge that sits in his cage to tell us that. The humidity is maintained by the musings.
• Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
We do use live plants, they are pothos. (which he seems to prefer.
• Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Thee cage is located in the back of our house by the backdoor. There are no fans that are turned on ever, there is an air vent that we have closed though in the room. The cage is on a table that is just slow my waist height.

I completely understand all of the questions, and I'm sorry about the delayed answer. He is quite healthy but does need more attention than I can give him. We were given the info on how to care by a guy that owns a reptile company and has a few himself. Hes quite beautiful and very friendly once you get to know him."

Any feedback is welcome, Thanks!

He looks good from the pic's. But, I'd say if he is three years old and looks the way he does in the pics then they have been taking care of him. You may want to dust his crickets more often when you get him.

an definetly get a bigger cage at least 18*18*36 but preferably 24*24*48

Yeah that was one of my big concerns...It would raise the price enough to make me want to just get a chameleon and all the stuff from LLLreptile. (Plus I would get the advantage of watching it grow up) hmm...
