I have a adult blue tong skink with uri.I have some baytril from treating my Jackson.I want to know how much to give him.Its 2.7 baytril and have a children's medication syringe for oral administration.Goes by ML.
So say your skink weighs 50 grams, 2.27 % baytril, and the usual recommended dose for lizards is 10 mg/kg.
so, that would be 10 x .05 ÷ 22.7 = .022 ml or cc same thing.
With all of that being said, you should really take your skink to the vet. It is impossible to know weather or not the bacteria causing the infection in your skink is sensitive to baytril. Make sure they get a culture and do a sensitivity test to see which antibiotic will be the most appropriate.
