Hi everyone wanted to share some images to see if any of the more advanced chameleon keepers on here can shed some light onto what may have happened;

Right first off I've been keeping and breeding chameleons for around the past 9 years currently got some lovely f. pardalis and f.minor

Right up to now the minor have been doing fantastic bought from a fantastic breeder over here in the uk. Female was around 3 months old when I got her male about 6 months. I've had them both around 4 months now nice set ups Arcadia t5 lighting suspended around 8 inch above enclosure daily mistings basically everything my breeder who specializes in minor told me to do and have been thriving up to now

Literally 2 days ago went in as usual to do the daily chores when I noticed my male looking very ,well poorly ,eyes sunken in not really moving, color very light eyes open then closing. Gave him a bloody good spray and he starts drinking gave Julian a ring who initially thought he could have ate a slug or something which really won't agree with him. Continued that day to get fluids in to him. I went in the morning and he was in a bad bad way eyes closed on bottom of cage and within an hour dead . All within 2-21/2 days I decided to open him up to see what I could find to see if there was anything obvious and here are the results........( first 3 photos)

Now I had noticed in one of his lungs was some yellow fluids now I don't know if this was an RI or inflammation but if anyone has any ideas then I'd love to hear them

The last photos were taken last week to show how he usually looks. The female is doing fantastic and haven't noticed anything different with her

I'm sorry for your loss, those are awesome chameleons and it's a shame one of the few who made it to the states has passed.
