Yes I just moved her and snapped a photo before I covered her.Good luck! I see she’s looking at you taking a photo of her.. she must not see you during the process. Just leave her alone in total so she has 0% stress.
I just moved her into it. And wanted a quick photo. She had 36 in DecemberDon't let her see you watching her when she's digging!
Good luck with her!
How many eggs did she lay in December?
I dont have a female but I think you really just need to let her be? I always see people saying don’t bother her and she can’t see you. I think you shouldn’t come in and add new things or anything..Question. We left her alone and she dug around a lot. She then got out of the 5 gallon bucket and doesn’t want to go back in. We put a screen fish tank lid on to see and she climbed and hung upside down. I checked the soil/sand mix and it’s still forming into good caves. Do I put her back into her cage? She is in a bioactive and should be able to lay in the dirt in there. Or keep her in the lay bucket?

I honestly don’t know if the clean up crew would damage the eggs. I would think if you removed the eggs quickly enough, it may be alright. She still has eggs in her. and I read in bioactive the critters can hurt the eggs, plus the plants would die Digging up the eggs. The bioactive is about 10”. She’s was in the bucket for 2 days. I put her back into her cage. She wasn’t happy in the bucket at all.
I moved her once because she escaped repeated from bucket. The more you disturb them when they're digging the more likely they are to become eggbound. You need to not move her back and forth to the bin and then the cage and to not move/handle her at all until she's done laying the eggs IMHO.
I can say for sure...I've never had a tunnel collapse...I wonder what happens in the wild?@kinyonga if the tunnel collapsed, will she be able to dig her way out?
Should op have his/her son open the collapsed tunnel even though it will disturb the cham?I can say for sure...I've never had a tunnel collapse...I wonder what happens in the wild?
