Fr feeding question..

Ive been looking into FR setups recently and the one thing I have yet to come across is, if feeding crickets how do you keep them from just being all over your house??

Ive read of cup feeding, but im assuming crickets would just easily jump out of many containers that would be needed for a cham to feed from. I love the idea of having my cham out of his cage, but not at the the risk of having insects crawl over my apt. If i had a sunroom or something like that, it would be a different story, but i dont.

What about just keeping my cage and setting up a FR to just leave him in for a few hours at a time???

What about something like this?

Sorry if I've stolen another members photo, I got it from google :)

thats a crude version of my "sunny-d death trap" check this out..perfect for a free range, even better if your free range is in a corner of a room, you put two 1 foot tall lexan walls in front of it to keep any escapees in the fr area..as soon as i set up the new house i will have updated pics and vids of the "real" ultimate free range set up..

anyway here is the vid to the "real" free range cricket cup. lol

Any chance you have time to teach my mellers how to do that? All I need is a way to feed and water him and off he goes to the free range. He is a dumb little angel.:(

Yes, I can, of course I would promptly fly it into the ground, but that is only if I could ever get it off the ground.
Maybe Rah could come visit you, for hands on training? But he doesn't seem to learn very fast. He is a one year old mellers and has finally hit 53 grams. He eats slow too.

haha..well they do practically fly them selfs nowadays with the gps, headinghold, return to home RTH failsafe programming, im sure you could be my stunt double, lol..

hey thats not a bad thing that he eats slow..to me it means he will live for a long time (per saying he checks up to be of good health).

im sure you can incorperate it in the set up with a few of his favorite munchies and he will warm up to it..
