Free Range Change

So Kaleo is 9months old and when he turns 10 I wanna get him a new cage he doesnt like to be in his. And I'm wondering how old should he be to free range? He found his way to this palm tree type plant he climbed all the way up and it was night so he fell asleep on it...he really loves it I found out its not toxic and I know how to rig lights up for it just right and vines. I'd like to do that for him sometime. I need tips on free ranging

I started at 4 1/2 months. Just Cham proof the room he's in!

What you need to do for a free range is hang it so that he literally can only climb his stuff and not get to the floor unless he decides to flop. Or make something to put around the plant that he can't climb up if he does get out.

I did everything to try and free range my cham on a ficus tree. The walls of the pot were impossibly high, the branches didnt reach outside of the pot much, and the tree was plenty big. Well, she got to the ground repeatedly. Eventually I realized she was jumping from the branch to the ground. Luckily it was carpeted and she was no worse for the wear.

I built her a beautiful large screen cage, and we're both happier

How do you rig lights up?
