Peg board has not presented an issue for me.
But each cage has its own walls, so they'd have to see through two sets of holes. And so I do make sure the holes are not aligned from one cage to another (not hard to do since no two cages are exactly alike anyhow), so there's no straight line of sight. I doubt they could even see each other on angles. IF they could, it would be a very tiny window so i dont think they'd recognize one another.
