My baby veiled Cham likes to hang around the bottom half of the enclosure more but today he decided to climb all the way down and looked like he was about to get on the floor but I walked up to him and he ran back up does this mean something?

uhh well it could mean a number of things, could you post a picture of your set up and chameleon so we can get a better judge for what the problem might be??
for starters, something in there is probably bothering him and in that case you might want to fill out this form... by filling it out, it gives us a good sense of if something would be bothering him and what it might be.
to add to the list, does he often scratch at or crawl on the screen?? if so theres definitely something bothering him. if not it might be the temperature.

Crickets, wax worms, Dubai roaches, about 5 crickets a day a couple worms and sometimes some roaches, gutloading with carrots atm. I always feed him about 3 hours after waking up so about 11am wax worms are usually a treat and are high in fat. a good staple worm for veileds are silk worms. along with that you're going to want to expand their palette while they're young. if they go on a hunger strike, you should be able to offer a different variation of food that they will take.
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? Reptibreeze Calcium without D3 everyday and multivitamin 2 a week with D3 got your change on the schedule

I have a humidity thermometer. day time humidity should be around 30-40% whereas the night time should be around 80-100%
  • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? No but I am getting live plants soon veileds are known to be plant chompers, I wouldn't personally keep any fake plants in there in case of ingestion of one of the leaves that could cause impaction.

honestly, they're just scouting out the new place, they've only been there for a week and its normal for them to be exploring at that stage. if you had them for like half a year or more and they started frequenting the bottom then it would be cause for concern but as of now theyre just getting a bearing of their new territory. the changes above should be made to give your chameleon the best possible quality of life but as of now there isn't a cause for concern.

we can determine their gender if you have a pic of their back half including the base of the tail.
