Harry Potter

I went to see it at lunch time (the joys of working from home!). Was interesting experience for me, as I had always seen the films before reading the books, so this time I had read the book first. I think I would like to see it again, as I think that first viewing is a little anti-climactic.

I'm going to go see it tomorrow with Mom and her work buddies.. her work buddies are scary though so I'm a bit reluctant to go.. LOL!

I read up to the 5th book and stopped.. so this movie will be quite the surprise for me!

Syn, I got so lazy and impatient waiting for all of the books to come out, I just recently "listened" to them all on Books on Tape - that's the way to 'read' a book :p

Going Saturday.

I know, I will probably end up doing that tonight to help me go to sleep... I might like the surprise, though!

I loved the last book. I read all 7 books in 5 weeks, and every now and then I will re-read the last one as I loved it so much. In fact, I may start reading them all over again. My other obsession at the moment is the film "Young Victoria" which I bought on Monday, and have watched 3 times so far!

It's hard for me to watch anything more than once. Or read for that matter! xD

I saw it yesterday, I took my daughter. Sat through 2.5 hrs of wand waving, silly word chanting, magical nonsense. What a drag!
My daughter liked it though, but didnt like me re-naming it
'Harry plopper and the half breed ponce'.
By the time the credits rolled I wanted to do something horrible to Harry with his own wand! The cinema crowd obviously loved it though.
:)

I thought it was great. Very different from the other movies. Plan on seeing it again over the weekend. I loved it.

What a disappointment. Nothing like the book.. too much lovely dovey, jealousy, and was overall a very poor movie.. not enough action for my tastes.

I'm not a fan really but took my son to see it last night (opening night....queued for about 40 min,not bad!) thought it was the best one yet, although i haven't read any of the books but out of all the films i enjoyed this one the most.

We saw it last night... Overall it was OK, it followed the book mostly and just like the book the ending was a total set up for the next one (which means it sucked to me anyhoo). Ill give it a B.

i give it an F---------- it sucked, i now want to do horrible things to harry and his pals.
i hate harry potter now. im more of an apocalypse now guy

I have to agree. They concentrate on the romances to the detriment of the rest of the story line. And they made the smallest change to the scene when he gets rid of the book in the room of requirement, which I think was silly as that had a major repercussion in the last book. They also made Snape a bit more sentimental and reluctant in the film than he is in the book. Will go see it again, but I think it was one of the worst ones.
