so i know all the 'tactics' for that, but my main question is :
is it safe for him to drink from the shower ?
many of you say to put him in a shower, and let him drink, but if my shower is not filtered ? it's just tap water, and i don't think it's safe to drink ...
i saw him drink from the leaves like 4-5 times/days last week, but still, his eyes are more sunken by day, what should i do ?

Given your options, I would let him drink water in the shower, I would also hand mist him several long mistings a day. Is he eating and pooping? How does his urate look?

Where do you live? Why is your tap water not safe to drink? If you are in the US, then most likely your water is safe for them, and you, to drink.

well, for the last days he's not eating so much as he used to, but i think he's doing that cuz he's shedding and i'm giving him some vitamins (from the vet), and he might be stressed.
he's only pooping when he's eating (before he was eating almost 10 dubias/day and pooping 2 times a day, but now if he eats 2-3 big superworms i'm happy ... and he's pooping maybe once/2days)
and the pee, i haven't seen in a while a big white urate, just these things ...

edit : i'm not from USA, i'm from europe, and i have no idea what's in that shitty water, i wouldn't drink it for myself, but if he's critical ...
i remembered that my parents have a filter in their house, and i think i'm gonna make him take a shower once a week from now on, when i'm going with him there, after i let him sunbathe, but i read that the babies aren't allowed to take showers (i think he's 4 months old)

Whoa! Are you saying you feed a cham who in 4 months old large superworms? His problem may be that he is impacted. You need to feed the correct size for your cham. I may be totally incorrect if you have a much larger breed. But even a parsonii would not eat adult supers, when the are only 4 month - That part is my opinion - I am not sure.

Can you get him to a vet and have him checked out? That is what I would be doing if it were me.

well ... 4cm superworms (i don't know if they are adults) are too big for a 20+ cm (head to tail) veiled chameleon ? i don't think that they're that big, and i don't think that he's impacted, he just pooped today.
4cm is the biggest one, i'm feeding him the 2-3cm ones ...

and back to the water, i took some photos, obviously his eyes are sunken, but is he critical ?
i made fast a dripper (more like a pierced bottle) and he seems to like it, he drunk some water from it, i don't know why he doesn't like the leaves anymore, but i hope he will drink from the bottle from now on...

Doesn't look critical too me, his eyes may be a bit sunken but it could be he was off because of the shed. Keep an eye on him and as long as he is eating and staying hydrated he should be fine.

that's good news, i was a bit confused too, cuz he's drinking like daily, i see him with my own non-sunken eyes. he's not shy, so that's good.
now the main problem remains the food ... i hope he will start eating again after he finishes the whole shedding process.
so, the 4-5 (MAX!) cm worms are safe ? when i put him food, he prefers the big ones, so i don't think they are that big.
5cm superworms (MAX) - 22cm (tail to nose)

Most chams slow down on the eating during a shed. It is not fun for them at all. After his shed is done I'm sure his appetite will kick back up. Silkworm are also good to help hydrate.

Based on your photos, he doesn't look critical. His casque is not very full, but he's a fast growing juvenile so it might not look as full as an adult's.

What is the humidity level in your cage? Even if a cham can drink every day, if the air in the room is dry and the water droplets in the cage evaporate too fast, he end up never getting enough to drink and can lose ground over time. Most houses that are comfortable for humans are a lot drier than a cham habitat. Some other signs that he is dehydrated all the time include drinking for a long time every time water is offered, and producing a lot of clear saliva while he's drinking. How do you measure the cage humidity level?

If you don't drink the water in your house and have no idea what your town does to provide safe water, maybe you should use bottled drinking water.

i won't give him that water, but when i'm showering, what should i do ? and is it safe to shower a 4 months old ?

his casque may be smaller cuz HE might be a SHE, not sure yet (not even the vet couldn't tell)

the humidity is constant 60-70%, 80%, maybe 90% when i'm misting, but that's the one with the tongues. i bought a digital one, with a sond (don't know how it's called) and it says 50-55%, but when i'm misting, instead of raising, the humidity is dropping, not sure why.

and when i mist, he's drinking for max 1 min. he's 'kissing' the leaves for a while, not too much, but my problem is with the pee, i repeat, haven't seen a clear big white urate in a while. just these little things :

Actually, given his age, rapid growth, active drinking every day, and your humidity levels I suspect he's just fine. Splatters of white urate are probably just because he IS very well hydrated, and his metabolic rate is also high at this age. I think what you are seeing is just a more diluted urate material. The longer the urate material sits in the intestine the more solid and compacted it gets. A dehydrated cham's urate is dense, harder, and concentrated.

On a veilded cham, look at the outside of his back feet. If there is a small nub on the back of the foot, you have a male, if there is no nub, you have a female. Veilds can be sexed at birth.
