I've just read this thread, and you have my admiration, OP! Whether your kid knows it now or not, you are his HERO. Great job! It's nerve wracking enough starting out with chameleons deliberately and having the time to do the research. Getting thrown into it like you were is a wild ride. I hope all goes well with Dave and that you have a chance, soon, to relax and enjoy your unique new reptile, as well as this friendly and helpful community.
