I have read the mbd thread and I can't help but remember the thread about the little guy who had splints the vet tech that rescued him had made for his broken legs. That Cham literally could not walk and could only grasp at his face. The pictures from that thread are why I never forget to dust my feeders and fork out the 30$ (yes it's that cheap) for a10.0 reptizoom light every six months. There was hope even for that little guy who was way way worse!
That vet tech brought that little guy back from the brink of death when it's original owners took it in and decided to put it down. Instead of killing it she took pity on it and helped it.
So this guy has a great chance to recover. X-rays should taken in my opinion in the event he fell and you didn't see. And to see how bad the mbd is and get the calcium injections like trace suggested. None of these things will equal thousands and their advise is certainly not crap.
