HELP NEEDED (EGGS) ARE THEY DYING?

I believe my veiled clutch has gone into premature hatching due to too wet medium because theyve been sweating since Tuesday and nothing... This is my first clutch but this hatchrite doesnt even seem wet?

they are 6mnths 9 days, incubated at approx. 26.6/27c kept on hatch rite - witnessed movement and development in almost every egg we picked up (we weighed and checked them weekly)
they are perfect and white, we candeled them on monday and got some wetness on our fingers, shockingly and extremely sadly one kind of exploded in my friends hand, after some research we found the medium could be too wet,
tuesday it was obvious a lot of them in seperate tubs have started sweating and shrinking but not wrinkling...

fast forward to thusday and there are no slits, no pips, no nothing, though probably over half are sweating or leaking they are kind of developing what looks like windows maybe? or probably where theyre going bad.... kinda dark thin patches
...

we've popped three holes in the front and one hole in the back for ventilation and we've popped the lids off a couple times to try to dry out the substrate...

guess im just asking what can I do? Can over wet eggs be saved? its drying out nicely since the holes were added no humidity build up on the front n sides anymore its just the substrate and some of them have stopped sweating, some have continued... Ive heard some stop sweating then start again then hatch? Do you think this sounds like a premature sweat? and are they still viable if they havent sank? Guess i'm hoping for success stories or useful advice to help these babies hatch (if they still can)

I've toyed with the idea of transfering to drier hatchrite but because my friend seemed so gentle i dont want to risk it as apparantly the slightest vibration can cause a rupture!

SO.....

Can they be saved if they dry out or are they goners? Some dont seem to have started sweating yet so maybe they'll be okay?

TLDR; Think my eggs are dying, please help...

The eggs will explode if too much moisture is present in the lay media. Excessive bacterial growth is a common problem as well.

We need lots of pics.

they should be fine but post pic's , my clutches hatch at around 6 months .
I sometimes think iv added to much water but as long as you don't have a puddle of water at the bottom of the containers you should be fine .

That's what I gathered, only one exploded whilst candeling and they do seem to be shrinking now, or at least some of the sweaty ones...
Bacterial growth deffo not a problem (i dont think) as they've never moulded, unless thats something inside the egg? ... i've recently taken them out of the incubator to check them, im scared to keep getting them out haha othereise i would've posted pics.

If they dont explode and seem to shrink (but not wrinkle) are they still viable? Thanks x

they shouldn't explode ,if they are 6 months without molding they should be fine and are just signs they are hatching .they shrink sweat a bit some will look like the have a drop of water and the will start to show dents . they also turn a greyish color .

they will hatch at different times , some have taken up to two weeks to come out after they start to shrink and sweat !

they shouldn't explode ,if they are 6 months without molding they should be fine and are just signs they are hatching .they shrink sweat a bit some will look like the have a drop of water and the will start to show dents . they also turn a greyish color .

Thats the trouble, its a lot more than a drop since tuesday, its now thursday and no dents but going bad i think... i'll post pics...

don't let all the humidity out by the way , if they are hatching that means the humidity was not a bad factor .and seeing how they will hatch at different times its best to keep the container closed to keep in humidity for the other eggs that are trying to hatch .

but what if the sweating is making the substrate too wet? sorry im an over thinker

we've now taped up two of the holes haha.. everywhere has said they sweat and pip within 48 hrs :/

They look healthy to me!! Looks like you have babies on the way soon !!

Some look like they cracked from the side ,that has never happened to me ...maybe someone else can explain that but the rest look perfectly normal

Some of your eggs have a bacterial infection.

Chemical reactions are taking place within the shell resulting in a pressure increase. That explains why that one egg “exploded” on your friend while not having standing water in the bottom of you hatch boxes. It is also the cause of the discoloration your seeing.

I want to stress that this is not a death sentence! If I were you I’d move the eggs showing signs of infection to a separate bin with clean media. It is possible some of them will still hatch. As far as the ones that still look good I’d tape up the holes you made and return to the routine that got you this far.

youre probably seeing substrate, none have cracked, i dont think

Oh, fack! Are you sure? what is the cause of this? I thought it was because its been wet for a couple days :/ I'm scared to touch them and cause ruptures to be honest, would they infect the other eggs? because if the other ones that are sweating continue i think they will end up looking like the grey ones, although it does seem like the sweating has slowed down on a lot of them... but again, no sinking? when should this happen?

thank you both for your help I really hope I get some babies <3 theyre coming earlier than expected but its been a long six months haha

The baby in the exploded egg was beautifully formed and we thin it survived for at least 24hrs because it turned a beautiful green and started moving its mouth pic if interested although extremely sad
