Help!

Do i get the special bonus price if I give the golden tip:

Dont feed him (so many) mealworms, mealworms aren't very nutritious and can also cause impaction.
Better feed crickets as staple.
But there will give that thing sum thick thighs

It looks like a crested gecko. Crested geckos are like chameleons and are aboreal so you need a setup similar to a chameleon. Need something tall with lots of climbing branches and foliage. Get rid of the substrate and don't feed meal worms. Both can cause an impaction.

If he'd check his dang notifications!
I'm a she thank you. And I didn't check my notifications because I was offline. My bad, it wasn't a chameleon. That's what I was told it was and since I'm obviously new to this I was hoping I would get help. I am trying to make him as happy as I can possibly can, not be made to feel like a fool for reaching out to people who know more about this.

Thank you for giving me info. I had a feeling he was arboreal, and I knew the sand should go. I got it from a 15 yr old girl that's why he has purple sand.

I'm sorry you felt that way. Thay were razzing each other not you. They've all been on a silly kick lately. And when he wrote that he was talking about another member that he had tagged. It's really hard to get intent from just written words.

Good on you though for taking this guy in. I'm not sure of a gecko forum but I do know that is what you have. Sadly I don't have working knowledge of how to help you with him. But I do agree on the two points already made, get rid of the sand, it's bad as they could ingest it and meal worms are not a good staple feeder. Their exoskeleton is hard to digest. I suggest crickets or Dubia roaches. Good luck!

Don't be discouraged to reach out again we are all here to help... hence why I tried to respond to your help thread so quickly. I am here to help, learn, and make the best of it. But I should have taken into consideration the fragility of a new member trying to seek assistance and knowledge. Water under the bridge? :(

Thank you! I never thought of myself as a "gecko" person, but somehow I've managed to adopt 2 now. Both owners couldn't keep them anymore so I took them. I'm a sucker for animals. Whatever the little guy is he's handsome, and part of my family now.
