Help!!!!!!

Well I'm excited to get my little Nosy Be tomorrow, I just wish I had known earlier in the day so I could have setup something simple for the little guy. I'm sure they didn't mean to cause such a commotion or cause any issues with me. I'm still very pissed and distraught but it's life, I have bigger issues in my life right now and life wouldn't be interesting if everything worked out the way you planned

I ordered it assuming they were going to communicate the arrival date. They told me it would be 3-4 weeks once I ordered it so I wasn't in any rush. When they e-mailed me asking if tomorrow would be ok I said it wasn't and gave a date for next week because I was still waiting for stuff to arrive. I was originally going to just go to petsmart and pick stuff up but since I had the time I decided to build a fancy cage, not the best move in the world on my part, but I didn't think this would happen. I'm just upset because I took a day off next week and now I have to call out tomorrow and will be short for money this week because I can't work Saturday.

As I said, all great life adventures have truly horrible beginnings. You're going to love having a chameleon and I expect to see lots of pictures soon.

I understand where you are coming from but, you should have had everything in place before ordering the cham.

Regardless, things happen and you're in a jam now. All I can offer is help with the food. If you can't find something locally, I have nothing planned for Saturday and could meet you half way with some feeders. It's a 2 hour drive for each of us to meet half way.

I do have a mistking and plenty of ro water though :D IDK how something from Canada can get here faster than stuff ordered in the US :p

I'll figure everything out with the food, Meeting you half way will cost me too much $$... I guess I'll update you guys tomorrow.

I'm from long island as well SonTigerPantherCham jus asked if I could help on another thread. I am also waiting on a Nosy Be form kammers too! They had told me the end of sept early oct. Wish I could help you out here...

wow, I just googled your location and it's not going to be easy, is it? I see none of the big box pet stores I take for granted. You might contact that animal hospital and ask them if they happen to keep small reptile food on hand. As it's only a short time, you could even feed small meal worms.

Please do keep us updated.

there are a bunch of mom and pop places around me, but nothing opens till 10am. Maybe I can find a reptarium or i'll just diy one, i got loads of pvc piping and not much aluminum screening but I do have some plastic screeing.

So home depot is open early so I'll just get my but over there first thing and grab some screening and DIY a small PVC cage.

I can assist with a good amount of feeders... But we would just have to figure out how best we would be able to meet up. You can PM me if you want to see what can be worked out.

Did you check out my post about laundry hampers? People here use them as "outdoor cages"...you might be able to find one, call around.

ygpm, thank you guys for your help I really do appreciate it. I'm not bashing Kammerflage Kreations at all, was just looking for some help for those who read this in the future. I'll probably have some pics and a video or so up tomorrow.

I had something similar happen to me (Not Kammers). I bought a small, cheap Bird Cage to use for a few days from my local Wal-Mart and it worked perfect. It even came with a small feeder dish and a dowel, then I just placed some fake plant vines inside.
I can even use it as an outdoor enclosure for awhile until he gets too big.

PM sent to you. If I don't answer leave a message I will be at work but I check my messages I can meet up with yu this early evening if you want to

I sent you a PM, but I'll also post here, just so it's searchable.

If push comes to shove, there are two amazing mom and pop stores in Ridgefield, CT. Follow Rt. 116 to the end and you will be in Ridgefield, CT. It's maybe a half hour drive, if that. Look for Animal Fair and Ridgefield Pet. They are both really good stores and would probably be willing to work with you. I prefer Ridgefield Pet for herps, as they were more knowledgeable...but Animal Fair is a cleaner store with friendlier staff. They both have typical mom and pop hours, but Ridgefield is a beautiful town, so it's worth staying in for a bit, just to check it out. I grew up there and my verrrrry first herp, a green anole, came from Ridgefield Pet.

race I am in wappingers falls. not too far from somers. I can help with feeders also.

I am getting a nice sambava tomorrow. If I had seen this thread sooner I had a small cage you could have borrowed until you got yours up.

Good news, I got my little Nosy Be and he seems healthy and adventurous :D I went over to home depot and picked up some vinyl coated hardware cloth and some 12" x 3" plastic plant water saucers. I also picked up a better umbrella plant for the bigger cage and some dowels. I have the cage in half direct sunlight in front of my window. Luckily I returned some stuff and only had to pay $1 more. My biggest concern right now is food, so I'm going to head over to Ridgefield pet store, only 15 min away. Thank you guys for all your help and offering me so much. :D

here is the link that inspired me http://www.reptilechannel.com/lizards/lizard-care/building-lizard-cage.aspx

I also agree it's nice to see people offer help like this! NY is usually quiet around here it seems lol.
