i feed him crickets and mealworms. 1-2 i used to feed him at 5 but he wouldnt eat then so now 7 but he hadnt eaten for about a week untill yesterday. i give the crickets fluckers cricket quencher .. the crickets need more than water. They should be gutloaded with various fresh veggies and fruits. A lot of Info about gutloading can be found here.

Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
i dust my crickets in rep cal calcium and i use fluckers liquid vitamin in his water because he seemed to have a vitamin a defficiency. I highly recommend calcium with NO D3 DAILY calcium WITH D3 2 times per month, and a multivit such as herptivite 2 times a month also..

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
i have a reptifogger and i mist his cage i havent quite figured out how long to use the fogger i dont think that the timmer is working. i actually have never seen him drink. U just the fogger to the humidity levels. They need to be monitored. 50-85% humidity. Spiked up when misting that should be 2-3 times a day. Fully soaking everything.

Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
he has never been tested for parasited and it is brown and then dries to a white color the brown is poop the white is urates. If the white has no yellow or orange then he's hydrated that's good.

History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Aquariums are heavily frowned upon. They don't allow vertical climbing space. Improper air flow, and poor drainage options.. excess water left In there can become a bacteria pool, or cause respiratory problems.. large screen cages are readily available and highly recommended.. and I mean highly! They are arebrol animals which means tbey live In trees they need vertical space and excellent venalation for fresh air. NO substrate at the bottom should be used..

Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
i use some brand from petsmart i usually turn on the heating lamp at 8-10 and the uvb light at 8-10 at night 12 on 12 off is recommended. Gives them a stable schedual and proper exposure ti UVB rays. Brand is important. Is it 5.0 bulb or 10.0? 5.0 Is recommended. and should be changed evey 6 months. there UVB output increasingly declines over time..

Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
the temp ranges from 80-90 degrees during the day the night temp is is 70-80
Low 70's at night at hottest. no added heat at night at all.. can get down to 55 degrees safely. They need It to sleep well. to warm they wont sleep well..
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
i dont know how to measure them and i use a reptifogger. Find out! It's important.
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
nni have fake leaves but no live plants. Live plants are extremely useful for humidity and veileds especialky like to eat plants so making sure tbere safe Is important.. pothos is hard to kill easy to find and safe!
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
it is about a foot off the ground and it is in my rooom at the foot of my bed.. higher is better.. but not your problem.
Location - Where are you geographically located?

I thought I changed my font but messed it up.. read through the form I quoted my responses are after what I feel needs attention. Primarily on cageing feeding supplementing..

Thanks so much

Thx
I don't know where to get a good cage at a good price. My dad also thinks that it would be better for me to just get another chameleon then to take him to the vet but I'll try my best and do they have humidity measuring devices at pet stores. Would it be easier to turn my cage into a better 1 or just get a new 1. Won't that stress him.

I have a 2'x2'x4' screen cage from LLLreptile.com diycages.com also has a nice one. Your tank can not be utilized.. get ur supplementing schedual down.. thats important. If ur not gonna take ur cham to a vet then dont get another.. its more of a dog then a goldfish.. u wouldn't through a dog away to get a new one... At least give him to a vet. But vet appt. are to be expected with chameleons they are for serious pet owner's.

Hi,

Reptarium cages are inexpensive: http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog...nd-explorariums/-/100-gallon-basic-reptarium/

Converting a fish tank to something appropriate is going to cost more than getting a new enclosure.

I think one of the main issue is feeding the crickets. They need food, not just "quencher". Also, it doesn't sound like you are giving him enough crickets, though it's a little hard to tell from what you wrote. The food that's in the cricket's stomach is what your chameleon is eating.

When you get him in a taller enclosure, the top should be around 90 degrees, the bottom in the 70-75 range. You want him to have a chance to move in and out of warmth.

At night temperatures should drop to the 60s.

My suggestion until you can get a new enclosure: ditch the heat bulb entirely. Get a low wattage incandescent bulb (the kind you can buy at the grocery store, with your current set up I'd say buy a 40W bulb and a a 25W bulb and try the 25W first, if you get a temperature above 85, stick with the 25W). Put the incandescent all the way to one side of the enclosure, don't center it. This will hopefully promote airflow.

They can be remarkably resilient so please do not give up on your pet.

Probably not.
Offer to do chores or something for your dad, in exchange for a new cage. Anything you can do you should do it!
