im new here and to chameleons.i bought a sambava juv. yesterday from julie at the narbc.well the chameleon is still alive this morning.haha he has been eating as well!i guess myfirst question here will be ...he is biting at the artifical jungle vine .is this normal? just a little background about me.i have kept reptiles of all kinds over the years,so he should be in good hands.

From my observations branch chewing is a normal behavior that young panthers do. I have seen several do this and all turned normal. Hope this helps.

Ya that seems pretty normal one of mine used to chew on hard things similar to the fake vines and sometimes it made pretty loud noises but I wouldnt worry about it unless he starts getting chunks of vine or any other thing you have in your cage

Its common for them to chew on them. Juvenile's are more prone to doing so. Take it out if it becomes excessive
