Home humidifier or fogger??

The mist king is on it's way. But truly it would have to run near constantly in our wood stove fueled house to keep things where they should be.

Thinking of piping in a humidifier through the floor. Thoughts? Fogger or Home Depot humidifier?

I would just put a humidifier in the room until your mistking comes in, and humidity drop is normal in between mistings. It is very warm in the room that my Cham is in and I know what you mean when u say it drys out all the humidity but once you get that mistking going that should be all you need in my opinion. Your cage should be completely dry between each misting anyway which in return drops humidity. Side note if you hook up a humidifier to your cage or a fogger you want it from the top not the floor, the humidity coming out always falls downward so if you had this coming from the floor of your cage it would probably raise the humidity a little but not as much as it would if you were to have it from the top of you cage falling downward and raising the humidity throughout the whole enclosure if that makes sense. no problem, I mean if the humidity is really low right now because your waiting on your mistking, like I said I would just put a humidifier in the room near your chams cage, this will somewhat raise the humidity in the whole room in return raising humidity in your enclosure as well...along with spraying a few times a day. I also know a lot of people including myself put plastic shower curtain or corrugated plastic sheets on 3 sides of the cage, not the front but the back and both sides, this will also help to contain humidity longer!

That's what I have going on right now. But keeping both temps & humidity up is a struggle.
Personally, looks matter to me. I'm not a huge fan of shower curtains... ;-)

Trust me I'm all about apearance as well that's why I used corrugated plastic and a clear shower curtain on on side. Here's a pic, pretty much can't even notice I have anything covered. And again this really does keep the humidity contained a lot longer for people like us who live in colder climates. and by no means am I telling you what to do just a suggestion because I went through the same dilemma when I started.

Some people drape a small (hand towel size) damp towel on one side of the cage to raise humidity. That might be a good short term fix. Just don't compromise the air circulation too much.

I've found that getting "crystal clear" heavier weight shower curtain liners from a hotel supplier gives you a nicer looking setup. Use the reinforced grommet holes to attach them to the top of the cage sides. They hang straighter and you can easily trim them to fit flush with your screen panels. Then, when the season changes you can remove some or all of them. When it comes down to it, you are better off doing whatever you need to keep your cham healthy and comfortable than worry about the look of the cage during the heating season.

Those shower curtains look great... or don't look like anything at all. I had thought of doing sheets of plexi, but now I see it's unnecessary.

I actually like how my cage looks now with shower curtain on 2 sides. Also helps keeps water inside the cage when my mister comes on, I use to have to wipe the hardwood floors a lot

Just wait until you decide to set up a "free range" tree and try various ways to keep the cham from climbing down off of it. Kiddy pools might work to confine a wandering cham to the base of the tree, but they usually come festooned with hideous designs.

I suppose. I've used them, but spray painted over Goofy and Mickey. Set the tree's pot in the pool and if the cham climbs down the trunk trying to wander the house, it can't get a purchase on the slippery walls of the pool.
