does any one know what food will make a hornworm grow really fast??? im using them for breeding so tomatoes will be fine im guessing

They grow fast just fine with the chow that is made for them. Just add heat and they grow huge in days.

Idk but the chow always stays moist and there are tiny airhole 4 them to breathe but I don't know the exact temp

Check your temps. Maybe you're keeping them too cool. I keep mine usually at 80-85 degrees and they grow like weeds.

the leaves are, the fruit "tomato itself" isn't, i believe. So you can feed them tomato's or if theyre just for breeding leaves or whatever you want. i picked a bunch off the tomato plants in my garden to breed.

I'd avoid tomato or pepper

I ran out of chow once and fed the worms tomato and bell pepper until I could get more chow. It makes their poop very, very wet, and makes a horrible mess. It really is all about the heat. But I did get a shipment once where the worms didn't grown, and then they died. It was inexplicable, in that there was nothing visually wrong. But when I told the vendor, they replaces it, so it must happen on occassion.
