quad & meller

First I am sad that you could ever think Trace or I would want to delete this thread.:) For those who don't know, Paul (showjet) was kidding, as neither I nor Trace have a panther or a veiled.:D

Thanks, Hoj, you know I love my kids. The pics are coming along but slowly, very slowly!!

Laurie, that looks more like a movie set;-)
This is my w/c. I can't put him in a cage, my bad.

YES, I´m REALLY tired of all the "see my pet chameleon.

I'm tired of people using the pop names, USE the scientific names!!

I'm tired of the topic/title names that people use, because of the stupid topic names, you have know idea what the thread is about! Why not just use the scientific name?? or just a title that decribes what the topic is about!?
I think there should be a "beginner" topic, where people can talk about Calyptratus and paradalis.

I'm sick and tired of all the SMALL and "bird like" cages people use.

I'm tired of seeing photos of chameleons sitting on peoples arms/ hands, THEY ARE NOT PETS, they should be in their cages!! just like fish, they are not pets either. If you really love your chameleons, then leave them alone and keep it as natural as possible. Understand what species you are working with and where they come from. Again, chameleons/ reptiles are NOT PETS!

I'm tired of people not taking the time to built a proper and natural cage for their chameleons.

I'm tired of people not using the search function, we see the same questions over and over again.

I'm really REALLY tired of people with "no" experience, giving bad advices.

I like the idea with this international chameleon forum, as we can share our experience, but with that many new topics each day, and most of them being really lame (sorry folks), most of the time, I don´t even bother looking through the topics :/

So yes, I'm also tired of PARADALIS and CALYPTRATUS threads ;)

Ima have to say yes they are pets . pet doesnt = holding ect. when i have fish they are my pets. when i have chams they are, aswell, my pets. they arnt outside liveing freely and they are under my control. they feed when i allow it and drink when i say so. they are mine :). i understand your concerns but some people dont care to much about taxonomic names and what not. i use them when im speaking to people but people that dont understand cope better with "hoe" or veiled". pop names are used beacuse they are easy to say and others who do understand taxonomy will know both pop and other names for that species. not a big deal imo. people post pics of there chams, no matter what species, beacuse they put alot of money and care into it and would like to show them off. i dont use cages for mine but not everyone can FR lizzards in there house. this wasnt ment to be an attack on you, but rather, a diffrent perspective. and excuse my spelling i know it sucks. dont draft my posts :D

guess whos buying another tree this weekend beacuse i like the one you have :D! lol You boy is looking gr8 ^^

showjet, thank you so much for posting the pic again. My daughter says don't tell her where you live, cause she is gonna come steal that cham!!!! he is truly one of the most awesome species I have ever seen. Is he the only one you have like that????

That little tav male is looking great!!!

All the other chams on this thread are looking good too. Gotta love some variety now and again;)

Bring out the Trioceros sternfeldi!

I have a biased interest in these guys because my last name is Sternfeld. :D
They're seriously beautiful though. I'm afraid to even consider one because I have my veiled's care down to a system but I'm sure that most Trioceros species MUST be more difficult, even if it's just supplementation and eating habits. I just don't want to mistake them for being easy just because Pepito isn't a challenge at all.

So a lion in a zoo is also a pet?, its not living in the wild?
Imo pop names only lead to misunderstanding.

Here are a few more pictures of the species I have kept / keeping.
