Much more than that.. I'm assuming you mean 3-4 month old, not .75month old (i.e 3 weeks). You need to give him as much as he can eat when he is that young. once he reaches around 6-7 month, you start cutting down the food intake.

What type of worms?

And yes, they usually eat anywhere from 15-20 per day. Don't be surprised if he eats more than that, though.

Is it best to remove the ones they don't eat from their enclosure at night, even if they aren't attacking him? Will that make them more inclined to eat when they're put in the enclosure with them?

For now give him as many as he can eat, i would estimate aprox 20 1/4" crickets every day. You should feed them as soon as they wake up, or as early as you can. You should gutload the crickets 4 hours before, i usually feed the night before when i feed the crickets in the morning. Try not to feed him any later than 5 hours before your lights go off. When he turns 7 months old, limit the intake to about 14 crickets of the size between him eyes (maybe even alittle smaller). Then when he turns 18 monthes old, reduce it to 8 every other day. I usually dont go by age but by how much they weigh. I weigh them weekly and when i notice them starting to stop. I will reduce food intake.

Crickets

I also take a one gallon water jug top and fill it with cricket food and keep it on the floor in the corner. If there are left over crickets that Melvin has not eaten they will have a food source at night. It would be impossible for me to catch the ones he doesn't eat from the day without disturbing his habitat not to mention they hide! If there are many left over I adjust the amount accordingly. He seems to eat most of what I give him and have a few stragglers left over each night.

WOW ive seriously been underfeeding then! hes been pretty active and seems ok but im definitely gonna give him more food thanks to everyone who responded. i ordered the high calcium pack of worms i think its butterworms and phoenix worms maybe? cant remember off the top of my head right now but definitely considering horn worms just worried about how fast they grow
