Humidity Stimulations?

So yeah, ive heard also that taking your chameleon to your shower and turning it on, will stimulate the chameleons hydrating senses,and taking him back to drinking, because hes got sunken eyes... im worrying about humidity because i provide him with alot of water for him to drink but he wont budge..

The shower method; Get a fake plant or real plant and place it in the shower, and have the water from the showerhead bounce off the wall and onto the plant. Leave the cham in there for a while and he should drink...

Maybe you are not misting long enough. Mine never drinks until I mist for 3+ minutes, or the entire cage is super humid and the screen's covered with water drops on top.

Thank You alot! So my Tarzan should start drinking right away, and get wet? Is it safe for him to get wet, wont it damage his skin?

No they love the water not to much and make sure its med temp not to warm not to cold so it doesnt stun him

Some do like the water others not so much and ways make sure the water is treated if it's tap water I give mine Poland spring just to be sure plus the minerals are good for him/her hope that helpd

I think you should do some additional reading from the care resources about your chameleon, knowing whether or no he can get wet is a pretty basic thing.

If you're concerned about your chameleon I think it would be good to complete the 'Ask for help' form and give some information about your cham and your husbandry, add a few pics of your enclosures as well so people can see how he looks and how your enclosure looks. Everyone here is eager to help, but giving more information will help us help you.

I like to use a humidifier in my room. It's just water and I can make the water hot or cool. It works really well. If you have one try that.
