I found my chameleon!!!

Wow lucky you found him and not someone else. I would be so stoked if I was walking one morning and found a veiled in a hedge or something. Congrats!!!!

Thank you! He was literally right in my front yard. I'm not gonna lie I was a little scared to pick him up because I thought he would be super aggressive.

That had to make your day. :) What a great discovery.

One time a very young male Jackson's crawled out of a whole torn in a cage that I hadn't noticed before. This was years ago. It was in the middle of summer so I would always water the shrubs just in case he was in them somewhere. About three months later we found him climbing up one of the cages I kept outdoors. He was huge!

I hope you can rehydrate your chameleon and make him better.

Best wishes.

Give him some long showers this weekend and I bet he'll be fine. Thats awesome you spotted him. I cant believe a hawk or cat didnt nab him first.

Wow!!!! Thats great! It gives me some hope. Around two months ago, my 18 month old Ambilobe escaped from his outdoor enclosure. My backyard is surrounded with 20 foot tall cedar hedges and some tall maple trees. I'm assuming he's found his way up to the top of one of the maples. The weather has been quite hot--But we havent had alot of rain. That concerns me. The weather is going to start cooling off soon. I live near Toronto- I doubt he will be able to withstand the cooler temperatures that we have in autumn. I doubt he will make it through october. We are still looking on a daily basis- we've tried lights at night and heat lights--with no luck-- Im hoping that as the temperatures cool, he will be attracted to the heat lights I have set up. I hope we can locate him.. He was an amazing specimen--Beautiful colors and a friendly personality. He is miissed!

Thats awesome that you found your vield after 2 months. The interesting thing is that in two months he was still at home in the front yard unless he roamed around and desided to move back home ;).

Don't feed him too much at once or over water him. I'm sure you've heard stories about what happens when you do that...
