i got a veiled chameleon from pet,co what to do?

I have a baby Chameleon named Nox personally I'm suprised he's still alive. Pet co didnt have that much for him except for a tropical reptil starter kit which came with a 10 gallon tank. i bought him a screen cage but other than that idk what to get. i bought the dripper but it flooded the tank so im scared to put it in the screen cage. i've had him for a month now. he shedded with me the first time a few weeks age, he eats well and i spray the cage with water almost every hour if i can. but i know thats not enough because i can only get his cage to 50% humidity. he's very small still even though u can see him growing. he eats alot but i want to feed more then just crickets and mealworms. i think h's still too small for medium sized cricket so idk my options if any.he didnt eat wax worms i think there still too big for him. he's starting to fall sleep during the day but he's up really late during the night till 10-12 pm. any help would be great.

Hi welcome to the forum. Glad you rescued Nox from petco. We don't have them here but they seem to be the pits. There are exceptions though. Would you like to fill in the help form at the end of this post. We will then be able to help you with your husbandry and pinpoint other things that may help. My opinion, take him to a good herp specialist and have a fecal specimen examined for any parasites. It can identify or eliminate a problem early. Order some phoenix worms online and get him as much natural sunlight when you can. No campact/spiral fluorescent UVB/UVA bulbs, only long tube. T Rex brand chameleon dust for dusting feeder crickets and T Rex cricket diet are a place to start. I've learned a lot and received lots of good help on this site, so keep communicating with people and do your research. Good luck! Our little girl has been quite a challenge.

why is he stayin up that late? Do you have the cage lights on late or all night? If so, that would be a no no. Sleeping during the day is usually a sign that something is awry. Please fill out the ask for help form as requested so we can try and figure out what is going on.
