I NEED HELP ASAP

He isn't to hot. He gets misted for 60 seconds every 3 hours. I can't take him outside since its 90 today. I will sneak a gut loaded cricket in his mouth tonight when he gets his medicine I already gave him his medicine this morning, but I was late for exams already so I didn't have time to catch a cricket.

Guys. I have made a hard decision. I think it's best to put King down. He isnt drinking, Eating, Standing up well, and he cant even walk without falling back on the ground ( he is already on the ground ).

LOL you are going to put him down due to a Vit A deficiency. Dont do that, find a rescue locally or something. Also I am 90% sure that 60 seconds of misting is not close to enough for a Jacksons. I mist my panther more than that and a jacksons is a montane.

Also I would look at a different future pet, as you are showing that a chameleon is too much for you I think. Not trying to be mean, just stating my opinion after reading this thread.

I don't think it's that. It's something else he can't fully open his eyes.

Ya a vitamin A deficiency would cause that. He can go awhile without food so do not worry about that. As far as misting, he is likely dehydrated, 60 seconds every 3 hours is no where near enough water for a jacksons. More like 10 mins every 3 hours, and in his current state 30 mins every 4 hours or so.

I do know its something else, its a combination of many things from your lack of proper husbandry.

He likely has a Vit A issue and dehydration. Plus bad diet issues.

He needs more than just crickets and dont give mealwroms. He needs a varied diet, he needs vitamins 2x a month and gutloaded food, with preferably 5+ different kinds of food. And water lots and lots of water, 60 seconds is no where near enough water not even close.

My mister only does 60. If you saw it you would see he is dying I can't do anything. I have 0$ left spent it all on his mister that I bought 2 months ago. I don't have any money I can't do anything.

You can do something, you can find a local rescue ASAP, join a reptile facebook group for your area and give him away. Chameleons are very expensive and you are not in a postion to care for a cham, money wise and time wise. I see you are young and understand, look into a beardie or something and come back to chams later in life.

I know how to take care of a Chameleon I have done everything I can and he just isn't getting better the medicine more hurts him then helps him he is black on the floor of his cage. He can't even walk.

You dont know how to care for a chameleon. Everything you are doing is wrong, he isnt getting proper nutrition he isnt getting his water needs met, he is having Vit A issues, those are all due to a lack of proper care.

This is 100% your fault to be blunt.

He can be saved by you or someone else. However it wont be easy. He needs changes asap, Increase his temps and give him alot of water ALOT OF WATER, get a spray mister from walmart for 5 bucks and spray his cage down. For a long time everyday as often as possible (let it dry out in between)

Setup a dripper for constant water supply, get some other types of feeders and some vitamins. Read care sheets and fix the issues.

No. Too late I ordered a panther and its coming on Wednesday. Watch me take good care of him. I think this should be a lesson to me and I should take better care of this chameleon and make sure he gets all he needs and if you don't believe me watch me.

WOW! :(. I really hope you can step up up for that cham.

You make your cham sick due to lack of care, then instead of trying to save it, you say I put it down and ordered another one! You just said you dont have money to fix the issues for that one. WOW is all I can say.

It's for my birthday. I didn't pay for it. I ordered it last week. I'm getting it on Wednesday Thanks for the support.

So you had a dying cham? and 1 cage and ordered another? Because that makes a whole lot of since. Anyway good luck. I sincerely hope you go read some care sheets and make some changes before you kill another innocent animal.

I am going to get some money from my parents ( I will pay them back) then I am going to buy Multi vitamins, get foods to gut load better, save up for a mist king ( I will hand mist my self for 5 mins every day 3 times a day plus my auto mister every 3 hours of 60 seconds of water ). I am also going to make a lemonade stand with my friends in California at the beach and make money for my mist king and upgrades for the panther.
