:confused:SO I THOUGHT MY FEMALE VEILED WAS PREG SO I GOT HER A NESTING BED WITH MOIST PLAY SAND CUZ IN HER CAGE SHE CEPT CROWLING ON THE BOTTOM AND SHE DONT DRINK THAT MUCH BUT SHE STILL EATS AND WHEN I PUT HER IN THE NESTING BED SHE DIDNT DIG OR ANYTHING ANY CLUE ANYONE TO IF MAYBE SHE JUST LIKES GOING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CAGE SOMETIMES OH AND SHES ABOUT SEVEN MONTHS

i put it in her cage and i left it in there over night and she had complete privacy and i checked for eggs andnothing i dont think she really went in it at all

I recommend that an opaque container of at least 12" deep x 12" x 8" about 3/4 full of washed playsand be left in the cage of any sexually mature egglaying chameleon so she has a place to dig so she won't become eggbound.

Can you post a picture of her please?

Another possibility for your cham crawling at the bottom is she might be trying to get to something outside your cage. Is she scratching at the corners/bottom? Any tall lampposts nearby? their life goal is to get pretty much as high as they can...Mine used to scratch at the bottom of one side of the cage until i raised him up above the table that was next to him.

Its definitely gonna take more time than one day for her to dig and lay eggs, they can take along time of scratching around and searching for a good spot to dig, but its usually pretty obvious she is carrying eggs that are fertile but infertile is hard to notice b4 its too late.

how long has your cham been going to the bottom of the cage for?... 1 night, 1 week, 1 month :O. details, details

shes been going down to the bottom for four days now and i still have the laying bed in there and so far nothing i will take a pic and post it today oh and thanks everyone for taking the time to help me with this

Is she active when she's down there? What is she doing while down there? Does she go back up into the branches after?
