I took on a rescue, Advice appreciated.

He definitely has swelling and bruising but that's better than none of that because I would actually expect the swelling and bruising after getting the cleaning done to get all the rot removed. Hopefully after he starts growing better tissue there and healing up he will be less sensitive there and bruise less and the swelling will go down. I definitely agree he looks better

Thanks. Thanks certainly encouraging! I look forward to the day where he can hunt crickets and treat himself to a hornworm dessert lol

This was a very pleasant surprise! I've never seen his colors like this on him. Lots of positive changes but he does sometime hang/sleeps near the bottom but I'd like to think he is getting healthier and comfortable

The swelling in his jaw definitely looks to be going down... but it looks like the infection may have affected the jaw structure more than I had first realized. He may have some seriously screwed up jaws for the rest of his life, poor guy. But I do agree his colors look gorgeous. And if he is purposefully walking down to the bottom and exploring, I wouldn't worry so much, in my opinion he's just being a busy body and may sometimes get caught unawares by lights.

Today was a big day for Rocky and unfortunately it didn't go well. After 3 weeks of grub pie and boosting his nutrients I decided to try a horn worm to see if his tongue still works. He was certainly interested but I tried both near him and when that didn't work I tried it in front of him to see if he would eat it by biting it. I could tell he was trying to get his tongue ready and I saw him move it around in his mouth too. His grip seems to be weaker as well now and its been very discouraging.

Today I think we humans deserve some sort of treat for ourselves. Mine will be chocolate or something? *frowns* XD

Continuing on the road to recovery. More updated pictures. I'm concerned that with his grip and strength. Especially his back legs so I added a picture of him just hanging out and also some more mouth shots. His left side still looks bad. Thoughts and opinions always welcomed

Hes looking better...keep up the good work!
With the way his mouth looks inside I'm not surprised he doesn't shoot his tongue out....poor thing.
Does he often hang the back foot off the branch like that?

Thanks for the response and encouragement(y) Its something new that I've noticed. He's venturing on different branches, less sturdy branches so that's good but he doesn't move with much confidence.

He has a way to go to be healthy....somits not surprising he's a bit weak.
The foot hanging like that can be a sign of gout sometimes....let's hope it's not!
