Introducing Pee Wee the Lil' Mystery Man

I'm seeing a boomer jr. I love his turrets. I have a similar situation where one of cham didn't grow for 5 months. He was actually smaller than Pee Wee at 7 months old. But he hit rythm and started to grow. Here he is at 1 year and 8 months old.

Wow he is gorgeous! Well, that is nice to know and I still have hope for this little one!!! Yeah, I love his turrets too and maybe a little Boomer when he was younger!

Panther67, I do think this is the case here of a runt. I an sure the coccidia did not help matters. He has a great little spirit and as you can see is quite healthy looking and super active. Like I said he is a little mystery to me!

I agree with you Carol... My wife works in the Vet. Field and had done so many fecals on her and we never had anything come up. I think she was just a little runt. What she lacked in size she made up for in personality. The sweetest one we have ever had. Keep up the good work with that little man he may just be a late Boomer.... I mean Bloomer :)

My vet said it is possible that because he was so small and not so strong, maybe that is why he got the Cociddia. I was messaging with Ferrit, the vet on here and she said it is called "failure to thrive". They will persist, but just not thrive and often times just die. I have alot of time and money invested in him and regardless of how he turns out, he will live out a good life with me whether it be short or long. I am so trying to get another fecal done, but been very busy with work and when I get home, he usually has gone but it is a little shrivled up nothing. My vet also does not want samples that are a day or days old, so I basically have to catch him doing it and run it over! I am really hoping the next one will be negative again. Thanks for all of your input, it made feel better knowing I am not alone!

I know how it feels.... I have had a few that I struggled with and there was not any scientific reason as to why... Especially when you keep quite a few and they are all thriving.I chalk it up to the more you keep, the more anomalies we will see.
