Is it just me or does her leg look swollen

Did the swelling start with her receptive colors? I’m wondering if maybe it’s related somehow?
My mom suggested that when I mentioned it to her. She compared it to when she had me and my brother :)
But no, the first swelling happened before the receptive colors. She was on pain meds after the first vet visit when she first went receptive.
Maybe It will go away when she has the eggs. We will see, hopefully she will lay within the month 🤞🏻

I hope so.

So we have a vet appointment scheduled for the 13th. I’m am not liking how much Nachitos wrists are swollen again and how loose her grip is, especially on her front right leg:(
She’s even been hanging her leg again as well

That is a tell tell of gout... You would need blood work to see what her uric acid levels are.
Right, she got some blood work done a few months ago and I don’t remember if they said anything about the uric acid levels. That blood work is why she’s on calcium right now.Maybe I’ll call today and see if they can talk to me about the results again. Ah this sucks 😞

Along slide that she is doing a slight gaping. Here’s a photo of her yesterday and a low quality one from her cam today. It was speculated that this caused due to the assumption she was filling up with eggs but now I really don’t know. ☹️ (her temps are good and she’s not pointing her nose up)

So a vet visit would be in order. Is the gaping new?
Ya we have a visit scheduled in about a week on the 13th. The gaping isn’t entirely new, she did it once or twice within the first month or so of her receptive period. I don’t remember the thread but some keepers thought maybe she was feeling pressure because of eggs forming be she hasn’t laid yet so idk. 😣

Poor baby. Couldn’t it be some kind of edema?! Like with humans, some also get terrible edema in their ankles. Bella also gets an extreme edema at her gulag when getting close to laying. Same as with the gaping, my bet would be the discomfort of her eggs. Hopefully she lays before the 13th and all this is over!

She ate half her food today, a hornworm and silk worm, and left the other silkworm and roach. Maybe she will go back and eat it later but idk. She also wasn’t extremely motivated to go after a waxworm when I tried to get her out of her cage for meds. Tho that could just be her wising up to my tricks when it’s calcium time. I want the slowing down eating to a sign of her laying but at this point I’m trying not to get my hopes up due the stress of being let down for the last two months lol.

Nachito does everything her own way 😅 I would be giving false hope, when I say that‘s also one sign of Bella getting close. Rejecting partly or completely her feedings. The first time was off food completely for a few days, later it was not eating all feeders. But she can also eat in the morning and start digging later on (during her veteran stage of laying 😌)

I wasn't really planning to make a update today, but i've decided to cancel my appointment at my current vet and go to a different vet for a second opinion. The information I'm getting from my vet over the phone just doesn't seem to be lining up, and i've already had 2 instances of wrong information or balently wrong terminology in the past. So to be on the safe side i'm going to go somewhere else. @elizaann2, do you have the vet list? I would love to look at it.
