Sometimes they excrete urates alone if there isn't a lot of fecal matter in their intestinal tract. Just keep an eye on him, there may be nothing wrong.

A question about your husbandry...you list Reptivite as a supplement. Are you also dusting with calcium? You don't want to use a vitamin dust very often. For a young juvenile you want to dust with a phosphorous free plain calcium (no added vit. D3) lightly once a day, dust with calcium with D3 every other feeding, and the vitamin once every 10 days or so. Once he's mature decrease all the above. Be sure to gutload your feeders well. Dusts are not meant to be the prime source of nutrition...the fresh greens, fruit, and fortified cereal grains you give the insects are more important.

Congrats on your veiled. I keep veileds and they are an absolute pleasure to care for. Carlton gave you some excellent advice. I would recommend gut loading your feeders with way more than carrots. I use allot of different veggies and fruits and a good dry gutload.

I'm attaching my blog for new keepers below. It's everything I did with my baby veileds and it worked quite well.

Post pictures when you can.

in my opinion i don't think veileds like or should be handled everyday there is alot of info i have read into the subject and almost all info i recieve say you should just enjoy the site they are happier that way. do what i did i have a vine that i put on one in my big veileds cage to a plastic bamboo tree that he climbs out on his own and most times back when he see's me with a roach for him.
