I recently picked up my first chameleon. I purchased from an acquaintance of mine. From what I was told the baby veiled is 1 and a half months old. I guess I just want to know if this color is out of the norm.

- How often do you handle your chameleon?
When I picked him out, and putting him into cage ONLY
- What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Pinhead crickets, as many as he eats in 5-10 minutes (averages 3-5 twice a day, morning roughly 30 minutes after lights on and about an hour or two prior to lights off, was using carrots and lettuce this batch used Fluker cricket quencher
- What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?*
I'm using rep-cal calcium with vitamin d3 until my calcium without d3 comes in this week. Also have rep-cal herptivite multivitamins that I've used twice since he's been in my care.
- What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?*
Spray bottle for 5-10 minutes around 5 times daily (some days more) yes I see him drinking water at times
- Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings.
Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?*- Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
First droppings spotted yesterday white tip with brown, pretty solid in my opinion. Not to my knowledge no
- Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?*- What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?*
It's a screen cage, 18x18x30, reptisun 5.0 for uvb/Uva and 40 incandescent bulb for basking, 12/12 schedule
- What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?*
Daytime around 75 floor/ 85 basking
Nightime with light on around 70 floor / 80 basking
Overnight around 65
- What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?*
Digital meter reads 61 - 68 (since thursday)
current read with meter is 65
created mostly with spray and live umbrella plant
- Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?*
Umbrella plant
- Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?*
Top of a 5 foot tall dressers. No fans, vents or traffic comes by this area. 5 feet is the bottom of the cage he's usually rested about 5 and a half feet up
- Where are you geographically located?
Bay area, CA
