Isabella eating a Leopard gecko...

ISA my Veiled

So tonight before Isabella and Bubba went to bed I was handling my Leopard gecko Stuart (He is fancy :D). Well a week back I had let Isabella do her thing in my room while I was sitting there watching her and at the moment I have another leo's cage close to the floor. Well Isabella decided to climb up a slight ledge and looking into the cage. Well Oscar decided to come out and greet her and she puffed, gaped and hissed like I have never seen before lol before I know it I was flying half way across my room to pick her up and settle her down. So today just to see how she would react (she has been showing some new colors that I thought I could get out of her) I held Stuart and walked on over to my baby girls cage. Well Stuart calm as can be was walking around in my palm just chilling as Isabella flew up to the front of her cage. So sitting there I was thinking "Oh gosh not this again". Well it was completely the opposite of what I had thought, she tried to eat him! :D through the cage she was aiming and getting ready to shoot her tongue right at him ha she did this for 5 minutes and followed me everywhere around the cage, it was possibly the funniest thing she has done yet besides attacking sticks. Definitely a one of kind!

Thought that would be cool to share with you guys knowing how weird chameleons can be sometimes :D

Being a leopard gecko owner, I was about to hate you from the title LOL. Luckily its just a funny story. Honestly I have done the same.with baby beardies through a cage because baby beardies are oblivious and in that situation in no harm because of the screen. Survival of the biggest mouth.... Guess its the same way in America

Thats too funny. I had one of my crested geckos out and showed him to jethro, threw his screen door. He started the head bob and showed some wild colors!! My son said.A cross like that would be messed up.lol

I have a male veiled and a (likely) female crested gecko. Every single time I let my veiled out to roam he climbs on top of my cresties cage and tries to get inside.
A few times I've caught him rubbing his nose on the top screen or banging his head (I always stop him right away) on the glass to try and get into the geckos cage!
I'm not sure if he smells her and wants to beat her up or thinks he can mate with her, or he is just jealous that she is in his old tank

Wow.. i am sooo glad your chameleon didnt ACTUALLY eat a poor leopard gecko.. that would be so sad. :(

So, Isabella is a hungry young fighter then? Just like my Jasmine, eyes bigger than her belly :D

Yeah they are truly explorers who seem to fin d a way to get where they want every time! :D

Yeah me too, Stuart is an albino, they probably don't taste so good :p :D He is one of my favorites though :)

:D seems like it! She makes me feel like I starve her ha I feed her three times a day still(most days) and that is at about 4 large crickets a session. She just seems like she's getting bigger everyday! But her tummy is always open!

 I was expecting the worst from the title! Yeah I think most chameleons would eat anything smaller than them, even another chameleon! My cham has never seen my geckos, I don't even keep them in the same room in case someone gets stressed out. Glad she didn't actually eat him :)

Well the perfect thing about having them in the same room is that they never come out during the day because they are nocturnal :D that way they just chill in there hides all day while she is active and then at night they come out and feed and do there thing.

And Stuart is over a 5 month old leopard gecko so he's not all that small lol probably 6 inches already. :D Isabella seems to like to go big or go home :p

Lol! Yeah Teal'c will only eat adult feeders. If you put a smallish one in she just. Looks at it as if to say "your not worth my time"
