Isis isn't pink

Hey all. My 8 month old female panther chameleon isn't very pink/purple. Everyone is always talking about their pretty pink girls :) My girl is pretty but she isn't pink! She's always a nice gray color or sometimes a brown color when basking.

Does anyone else have any Girls that are gray or any comment on why she might be gray?

Pictures of Isis while a light gray color can be seen in the original post of this thread, and more brown (sort of) pictures can be seen a few posts down on the first page.

Thanks! :D

She just hasnt finished coloring up yet prob. She hasn' thrown any receptive colors yet huh? My female ambajas stayed that light pink llike in your first pic most of the time. They only got dark gray while basking and warmng themselves. Shes still fairly young though im sure she will suprise you again one day you will look in on her and she will be practically glowing.

I know there is a huge difference between an 8 month old and a 2 month old but my Sunny looks like your Isis! Sunny doesn't have the bars fully formed yet but she does have the green in the same place and the same red.

Pfft, she hasn't shown any colors except for that one shower :) always the same gray colors. Shoot, she's never even puffed up at me, she's such a mellow/cautious girl.

Sunny won't puff either I've seen her do it one time when she was basking. The only thing that makes her mad is the spray bottle. Anytime Sunny turns dark brown her red comes through. Does Isis's bars turn green while shes relaxed?

Isis' bars are varying degrees of gray and black. She's speckled with green, but it's not really her bars that are green.

Smidg is now over a year old and she look just like Isis. But we love them anyway right? Smidg is just a little sweetheart.

Here you go. Pardon the awkward hand and her throat, she's just finishing up a shed.

I fed her/him? every day until 6 months (mayeb a little longer,) then I fed him/her every other day and I feed about 6-8 medium crickets. When he/she was 4.5-5 months old (when I got him/her) he/she was tiny anyways. He/she was a lot smaller than her already colored up brother of the same age and was about the same size as his/her sister.

What does everyone else think?

Male and small-as Chris said-I certainly feed everyone according to size more than age-you really need to with these guys that vary in growth.

No, he definitely looked like a male last month too, I just didn't see the thread until today. At that size, you should be feeding every day and I would increase the amount as well. What are you gutloading with and what is your supplementation schedule?

Chris

Okay, I'll up the food then. I gutload with all sorts of greens like kale, collards, mustard greens, dandelion greens, endive, and escarole. I also use fruits every now and then, and mainly berries/oranges when I do. I also use carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, and sweet peppers. This week I've been using squash, mustard greens, and a little butter lettuce. I also use a dry gutload that is high in calcium.

I use repcal supplements and use the calcium without d3 just about every time I feed, I use calcium without d3 twice a month and a multivitamin once a month.

EDIT: So for those of you online, other than those have already posted, what do you think?
