Jacksons

no. they cant. just like panthers and vields cant.
too much breeding=shorter female life span. and tons of babies.. which eventually leads to them needin ghomes.. and once youve sold to everyone.. what do you do with the rest of the babies? esp if youve got 20 or 30 to house, feed, and care for?

theres a reptile place to me that takes locally bred reptiles for credit. how long can babies be housed together

babies can be hosued together for a few months, maybe up to 3 or 4.
but.. sometimes one baby grows bigger and starts to eat al lth efood. or one becomes very aggresive towards the others.
when this happens, that one has to be sperated into its own cage.
also- jacksons babies are very delicate.. they have a habit of being one day good, next day dead randomly up till about 5-6 months old.

interesting...well i just put a down payment to hold the pair...now i just have to decide if a pair is the best way to go or if a sub male or adult male would be better for me

you can hae the pair. even breed them once the female hits over a year old.
just breed once, keep one baby, and sell the rest to the pet store. provided they wil care properly for them.

and keep them seperate from each other. ;)

im getting a jax myself ini a few months... and im breeding my hoehnelli, and my veiled.. and im getting a panther later..
you will find theese thigns are addicting.

im getting a new baby jackson here in 2 months, and ill be building 2 new cages, already have a plan for them, once i get it perfected i can send you the blueprints :) 18x18x36 is perfect for a single adult jackson's :)

Chameleon overload... Yeah no good. But I wish there was a way to house chams together safely so that I could eliminate housing space. aka a million cages all over my room..

someone should come up with chameleon birth control -.- they have it for other animals, and just came out with something to give wild mustang mares to keep down the populations..

is your jackson baby coming from the phily person? for free?

Is there chance of them being related?
This is important if you are considering breeding.
Here is Jdogs jackson video, it goes over their complete care.

im too excited! getting a female, and once she reaches breeding age, her and linus are gunna be parents! but thats a long way from now :p

yay! lol.
im getting a male.. well two males actually one for me, and one to ship to someoen else. I love free chams.
i might breed jacksons at some point.
right now, im focusing on my veileds and especially my hoe(s)
i want to start a breeding colony of hoehnellis.

and im getting a pantehr at the end of the year.

IMHO I think trying a single subadult male would be a better start. You can get familiar with the species' behavior, health, nutrition, and know what it will take to manage them in your house climate and dealing with all the live feeders. Keeping track of two new chams at once can be overwhelming especially as you are new to it. Get everything working right with a stable male (a little less picky than females). You may find something as simple as daily time is more than you can spend...better to find this out sooner than later with more animals. And, you will have an established healthy cham to make up your pair if you do want to breed later. All you'd need is the female.

Offering chams in pairs is easy for the store, but a big burden for buyers who don't realize they can't be housed together most of their life. We see this all the time when one or the other ends up sick or dying.

Well i live in my own place which makes it easier
and im not apying for the jax, or for a panther im getting.. so that helps.
and im trying to breed the bugs to feed, so i won thave to buy them, whcih wont eat into the profit i make selling the babies.

not to mention the hoes are live bearers like jax, so smaller clutches, and the veileds im only hatching half the clutch, as the female's owner is keeping the other half.
