A couple hours before the shed. Neck wrinkles are a dead give away for an impending shed. I really like this picture even though he is cranky

Mookie joe was cranky this morning. Figured out why, he was about to shed! Day 36 with me and his second shed! First shed was on day 10.

LOL yea its Jesse. My first Cham I ever had died in a week and that was his name. So I kept it, but anyways yea it was awesome, the first one was no hesitation but the second one he wait because of the phone. It gets addicting

You think it's addicting now, wait until he climbs to the front of the cage and sits there waiting for you to put your hand up there with a cricket! Haha I usually will feed him 5-6 then I make him hunt the others! I can't wait to see his reaction when I feed him a horned worm!!

Well here he is after hand feeding today. Got him to hit 5 of them. I agree Julia when he hits a worm its gonna be crazy. I can not wait till they grow bigger and bigger bugs can happen.

he doesnt look to angry, but he sure looks big. Have you weighed him yet? His colors are looking good, he will get use to you. Have you hand feed yet?

When I would put my hand out he'd just hiss and open his mouth really big! He's never really done that before. Usually he just will turn and try and get away but once I'm close enough He'll just get on my hand w/ out too many problems. Just not today wouldnt let me get close.

How do you weigh them?

I've tried to hand feed him yesterday and today for the first time. He just stared at me lol. He loves to hunt though. I'd just like to hand feed him a few a day to "bond" but I dont think he's cool with that. I dunno.

I have a food scale and it has a container on top and I weigh him in that, which I will do on thursday. Hand feeding is all on the cham, but the biggest tip I can give is hold still and make sure the bug moves pretty good.

I love his blue! And that orange belly! He doesn't look mad in the picture, but if he hissed he was mad lol I move sloooooow when I approach my Cham. Slow as a slug! I didn't try to hand feed for like three weeks. Then the day I tried he just snatched it up! Make sure when you try it's the first feeder of the day, that wY they are definitely hungry. I wouldn't put any crickets in his cage before you hand feed either. I usually will hand feed him the first few feeders then I put the test in the cage after because mookie joe likes to hunt too!
