Thank you so much everyone. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. I will be home with my guys most of the day tomorrow to keep a close eye on everyone. Everyone was sleeping when I got home from work. My husband and daughter both said Jr was doing good when they came by to check on everyone.
I'm not liking Jr's colors this morning but other than that he seems fine. He's had his Baytril, Medacam and a drink of water this morning. I'm really glad that my regular vet from Orlando is coming for a house visit next week. I will feel so much better when he check him over.
I spent a big part of my day at the emergency vet with Jr for a second surgery. He tried to do his first poop since the amputation and had some blood and a small blood clot come out of his vent with a small amount of urate. He had to be sutured back up and she burned the area a bit. He had fluid under the skin, a vitamin shot and came home with some Lactulose. I have Dr. Alfonso coming in the morning so hopefully he will be able to make sure we have Jr back on the right track.
So sad to hear that Jr had to have another surgery, that poor baby and you are just going through some tough times at the moment, thoughts and prayers for you both.
Thank you so much for your kind words, thoughts and concerns. Dr. Alfonso and his lovely wife Divy just left and all we can do is wait and see what happens when Jr tries to take a poop. Hopefully the restitching yesterday did the trick.
Dr. Alfonso wasn't able to do much to Jr. at my house other than check ups. This morning Jr tried to poop again and there was quite a bit of blood so I rushed him and Luie 5 hours down to Dr. Mader in Marathon, FL. I'm still in Marthon with Luie & Jr....just got to the hotel about an hour ago. I spent over three hours at Dr. Mader's. Jr had more surgery to stitch up where he's bleeding from, up in his vent. He's had three surgeries in the past eleven day and lost allot of blood. Dr. Mader wanted to know if I brought one of my big healthy chameleons for a blood transfusion for Jr but I didn't. I didn't even think about it. Dr. Mader is keeping him over night. They are 24 hours there and Dr. Kathy will be there all night.
Oh gosh Jann, I am so sorry to hear of Jr's problems. Poor little guy! At least he's in the best hands possible and I'm certain will recover under Dr. Mader's care and with your love!
Was Dr. Mader serious about the blood transfusion???? I wonder if they all sre compatible?
I sooo hate to hear that your guys, and you, are in so much dispare...... I'm sure The Dr. Is doing all he can for them!!!!
Saying prayers!!!!!
