Jr Had Emergency Surgery

Thanks so much everyone. I'm going to call and check on Jr. shortly.

Was Dr. Mader serious about the blood transfusion???? I wonder if they all sre compatible?
I sooo hate to hear that your guys, and you, are in so much dispare...... I'm sure The Dr. Is doing all he can for them!!!!
Saying prayers!!!!!

Thank you so much Lisa. Yes, Lisa Dr. Mader does blood transfusions. He talked about doing one on Camille before she passed.

Good grief, Jann you and your Cham babies have had a run of it lately. Hang in there and good thoughts and prayers going Jrs way. Is Luie ok,i see you took him too, or did I read that wrong.

Thank you for all of your concerns about Jr. I just called and checked on him and he made it through the night. They want to get some carnivore care in him and see if they can get him to poop before I take him home.

Cammie, I also updated Luie's thread.

Thank you all so much. I have Jr at home with me. I'm still worried sick that he might bleed again when he tries to poop. Dr. Mader had me get some stuff that you use for nose bleeds to use if he does and he told me to apply that and pressure but he doesn't think it's going to bleed.

is he still okay?
I was wondering if the stuff they sell to instantly stop bleeding in birds (in the case of accidentally cutting toenails too far) would be useful.

Sandra, I had to take him back to Dr. Mader yesterday. He passed some blood clots over the weekend. Dr. Mader kept him overnight, stitched him back up and gave him some vitamin K. On the way home this morning he did a giant poop and NO BLOOD. I hope this means he is on his way to recovery finally.

Yay!!!!! I hope you told him "GoodBoy" and patted him on the head!!! ;)
Hopefully he's now on the road to recovery!!!!!!

Hey Jann, I hope Jr. is still doing well and that this ordeal has come to a close. Glad to hear that there was no blood this time! Keeping my fingers crossed for him. Hop all else is going well. :)

Oh Jann, SO glad to hear some good news about Jr.! Hopefully this will be the first of many good signs on his road to back to good health.

Deb

Jr had a bloody poop this morning and we are going back to Dr Mader,
four and a half hours away this Friday. In the mean time Dr. Mader called in some vitamin K to the compound pharmacy in AZ and we will have that by Tuesday.

Jason, I think Luie is alittle worse.
