Large 2 Chameleon enclosure build

New enclosure build. After a house fire 10 weeks ago I needed to build a new enclosure. I have been working on it for the past few weeks. I will try to post daily updates as I progress I had posted a few pics in the lighting section. Knowing that lighting is not the proper place for a build thread I decided to move it here. As I progress I will add pictures.

Worked on staining the enclosure last night.
Hopefully finish staining the enclosure and painting the inside of the light hood and base cabinet tonight. That’s if the power comes back on from last nights storm.

On and off for the past 25 years or so.
This is only my third attempt at a “furniture grade” build. Although I have done some rough framing quite a few decks, bathrooms and kitchens in the past few years. I had recently made a stand for my 150 gallon reef tank that turned out pretty good. I will be starting a new one when I finish the chameleon enclosure.

Finished staining the enclosure just a few minutes ago. Hopefully I should be polyurethaning tomorrow. When that is done I will be painting the inside of the lower cabinet and inside of the light hood gloss white.

Hi, are you painting over the white paint with a sealer of some kind?
