I have a one year old panther chameleon he has always been healthy until recently, he has a lower respiratory infection. I took him to the vet and they put him ceftazidime "fortaz" 2 gram injectable every 3 days, and I'm on his 5th shot and he's getting worse. His mouth is full of mucus and he's blowing bubbles. I took him back to the vet and they sent his saliva out for testing. Is there anything I can do in the mean time? I'm worried! !

His cage is a 24-24-48 screened in, all the temps are right humid is right he's drinking water

Sorry I don't mean to join just because I have a problem, everything has been smooth sailing until now.

I just extracted the mucus with a Q - tip and put him in a steam shower for 20 minutes and cleaned his entire cage.

I use an exo terra monsoon 400 for his water source and it might be the source the water could be bacteria infested from sitting stagnant. Does anyone have a comment on this?
