Beautiful , not dull at all.

I say

Tamatave

Are the spines along his back a teal blue color? He is really nice

Yeah I'd say tamatave too. I am dying for a CB tamatave, I love the reds and oranges and hints of yellow. Is this one CB? It looks like alot of the WC ones that are coming in from there lately, except in nearly perfect conditon. He probably loves you since you saved him from being another males girlfriend! lol. He is very vibrant though. Your lucky :)

he looks stunning steve,im going with the picasso,as theres not to many tamatave in the uk

I must say he does look like a Tamatave. Are they rare or something as i have not seen any in the UK.What is the cost of a Tamatave male ,are they more than red bars.

im sure if this was a true tamatave, the onwner would of told steve that.
im also going by the first pics aswell.

Well to me , the first pic doesn't look anything like an Ambilobe either.

Lets just call it Ampiskiana :) , I always like that name. Maybe red and Orange Faly.

The owner didnt have a clue really ,thought it was a female at first. He was guessing when he told me could be red or blue bar.

All kidding aside , I do believe that is Tamatave...

Rarer in the UK , I would say. In the US you can find them mostly WC.

Really nice cham. I say you came a cross a really cool Locale to keep.

I wouldn't use him as a breeder. Or if you do at least let the buyers know that you cannot gurantee his offspring's locale/pureness as you don't know his lineage.

What about a Masoala panther now he really looks like one of these.Dont think i will be breeding with him though really want to keep my female pure species when bred.

Did he guy you bought him from know the person he got them from? It's probably a long shot but if he does maybe that guy remembers what he sold to the guy you bought them from. If not it doesn't really matter all that much since you are not breeding him, at least you still got an amazing display panther/ super calm pet. He really is gorgeous. I am a sucker for the deep reds and the fiery oranges of the east coast locales. Congratulations. Also it could be a Masoala, IDK if they are more common in the UK than tamatave. If so it's possible... The world may never know. Ha.

Right got him.his a well layed back cham.He just layed on my arm with not a care in the world.Tried putting him back in viv and he kept climbing back up me lol.Went past my viv with my females in and striaght away he started head bobbing and dying to get to them.He went a very nice red colour showing off so he can colour up when he wants only time will tell.
Fowlers the owner didnt really have a clue .He said they where a year and a half when he got them and was told they where male and female.I told him that should have been a big give away at that age as both had a big bulge on the base of the tail.He has got another male and wants to breed when he can get a female .I suggest that he done a bit more research on chams in general before breeding. Was going to swap with on of my females but thought better of it.Soon a sell my female to someone with more knowledge of panther chams.
also i think he is a red bar well im 100% sure.
Will put photos up soon.:)

im glad you got him m8 he looks very nice now, dont think he is a tamatave, they are not really on the uk market. i think hes a red bar. doesnt matter any way as long as he is healthy and well and doesnt have another male sharing his viv. what females you got?? pm me please stevo

Man I wish we had red bars in the US that could turn almost completely red like that... Oh wait we do except we call them tamataves or masoalas or maronsetras. ;) Sorry I'm just giving the guy above me a hard time, plus I'm jealous of that amazing looking panther :)

Justin

EDIT: 800 euros!?!?!?!? WOW I need to move to europe somehow and then maybe I could break even one of these days. Lol. Whats the equivalent of that in USD? It would probably be cheaper for you guys to pay $150 for one from here, pay for whatever permits you need, and pay for shipping from america to you guys.
