Mellari free range question

My Mellers doesnt seem to want to bask as often as other chameleons I have owned.

Is it normal for them to go sit in the darkest part of their free range for a lot of the day?

Trying to think of ways to get him to roam more.

Do you mind posting photos of his FR and a bit about his general care? Meller's don't usually like it as hot as other species, but still, most still really enjoy a warm (80-85ish) basking spot. So I don't necessarily think that's normal, but I'd have to know more to say anything for sure.

ok

He is more active the last two day. I think it may have been the temperature change we went through here in Illinois.

The apartment has an ambient temperature during the day of about 74, and his her basking spot sits at 84, according to my temp gun.

The lights(basking, UVB tube) come on at 5:45, and the mistking turns on at 7:30 for 10 minutes. It turns on for another 10 minutes at 12:30pm, and again at 5:30pm. Lights off at 7:00pm.

He gets 1-2 dubia every day or so, as it is an adult(he/she doesn't always want them)

He she seems more active when im home. He actually got down to the floor and circled the room a few times before going back up

Let me see if I can get some pictures to show. It is open (except for the side where his mistking sprays, so it don't get all over, and empties into a covered drainage pan) so he can come out at any time and roam some vines strewn about the top of the room.
