Okay so he's had an eye infection for about a week or so and it's slowly gotten worse. At first it was just a little clear thing covering his eye and so I thought it was nothing and now it's worse :( any thoughts on what I should do?

Go to a reptile vet. @jannb may be able to give you a good vet. Where are you located?

I agree that he needs a vet. If you share your location I might be able to refer a vet with chameleon experience.

River Road Pet clinic has a great herp vet. I liked her when I lived there.

But honesty she's not cheap and from what I gather from your other post I think you know that any vet will cost more than your parents are willing to take on. But, you will either need to take him to a vet, rehome him with someone who can afford it or take him back and get one when you can take on the cost yourself. I know that's a tough thing to do but you have your whole life ahead of you and when you can do it right you will be much happier for it.

Ask for Dr. Julie Yeager. She specializes in reptiles (and birds). She owns a panther chameleon and other reptiles. I take allmy pets to her. She's very enthusiastic and does public speaking regarding reptile care.

Yes, that was who I used when I lived there. Thanks, @jannb, it was late when I posted that and I couldn't remember her name, it's been 2 years since we lived there.

Also, You could check the Reptile Specialists store for some other feeders. They are not super knowledgeable on chams but way better than Pet smart. You want to talk to the manager, if anybody, his name is Dennis. Dennis and I had many discussions in the proper care for chams. I never liked to go when anyone else was working. I's near the mall area but on Speedway. They charge too much for their dubia but are great with other things.

Okay so what would be the cost of an appointment with her?

How do you know for sure it's an eye infection? Have you tried flushing it with saline? If not, try that! Sometimes when they get stuff in their eyes, they will do that and you need to flush it. If not, the vet will likely prescribe terramycin eye drops, which are pretty cheap. Good luck!

Okay thank you so much! Any tips on how to flush it with saline without it getting all over him?
