When you spray try using warm water. Prolonged spraying helps but you will have drainage problems in a glass tank. Can you check if you can get silkworms on line. They are full of fluid. You said his poop was brown. Chams poop is made up of two parts. The brown bit and the urates which is his pee. This should be white. If it is yellow or orange it means he needs more water.

aha .. well ive been using something strange like soil for the bottom of the tank and it contains weter so the humidity level is high .. They told me that i shoud spray a bit the animal . Well it was a bad advice he got mad and he ran away which is strange ? They told me that they drink as much water as posible in the rain and that they like to be in it.Dunno but most of the information i got is from this site http://www.wikihow.com/Take-Care-of-a-Chameleon

Some don't like direct spraying but if you spray around him it might work. This is why lots of plants is a good idea. They lick the droplets from the leaves. Humidity should peak at around 70% three to four times a day allowing the tank to dry out between. Most of us use paper towel, news paper. For the bottom as substrate can be ingested or mould.

If your concerned about his eating habits, you could try getting a syringe and a jar of meat flavored baby food and give him food that way, make sure you don't give him to much. Make sure you are getting the calcium he needs as well. Also, make sure he has a lot of water. You can also do this with a syringe as well. Sometimes if they don't get enough water the are drowsy and don't eat. I hope this helps you.

well for the bottom i use soil its really light and contains nicely watter .. the bad thing is that the crickets are hiding in it, but they come out eventually. Hey i just got an idea i have turtles and they just love warming rocks ... Would a chameleon actually use a heating rock or a heater in the shape of a log ?

The idea of me using a syringe on an animal is horrible ... i shoud just take him to a vet who will tell me if he isnt drinking enough water

I've read your care sheet. I wouldn't agree with everything . Being on this forum you should find all the answers you need. There is a wealth of knowledge on here. Just remember that everyone has their own opinion but if you are not sure just ask. Also on here there are vets who can be very helpful. You can also send private messages to anyone on here if you need help. There are good pet shops that give good advice and also bad. Do your research and check things out. :)

Go with you gut feeling. If you think he needs to see a vet then see one. Take a sample of poop with you and get it checked for parasites. Your boy will not be ok until you get a uv light and use the correct supplements. If you are ever tempted to use a syringe remember that a chams breathing tube is under his tongue not in his throat like ours. It is easy for water to go down the wrong way.

No no no! That is not what I meant haha. Not like a syringe with a needle, that would be horrible! I mean a syringe, that's just a dropper, like what you use for babies. And then just drop it about an inch in front of their face and then they will drink from it. I just meant that they should drink the water. You can generally buy them from your local store. Also I don't recommend using the heat rock. It can hurt them.

Sorry, I'm new to this site, and I'm not really sure how to navigate through it. What do you mean your sheet?

.

Glass tank isn't ideal. You don't have correct supplements. You don't have correct lighting. You are feeding wild bugs.
Don't be downhearted. You can change all these things but if you don't they will eventually make your boy sick. Get the above sorted and it should make a difference.
Read the care sheet I gave you. It's new and was written by a vet on here.

Also, be careful about what you feed him from your garden, because it might have parasites.

Almost all insect foods will carry some parasites including commercially raised insects. You can't avoid them all, so its best to take a fecal sample to a vet for analysis periodically. The bigger concern with feeding wildcaught insects is toxins or pesticides.

I have heard that most chameleons are aggressive, but honestly that comes as a surprise to me because I have had two now that are extremely affectionate.

Not all chams are overtly aggressive. In fact, most captive bred chams are handleable, but it varies by the individual. Most will bluff or display when they don't want to be handled. If the cham is actually biting someone it is extremely stressed and wanting to be left alone.

5.0 UVB light is a must if not getting direct sunlight !! I would definitely look into live plants as well! good luck!:)

Do NOT do this. Baby food is formulated for humans, which are mammals, and will have potentially poisonous amounts of protein for a reptile.

No soil, live plants will provide the humidity. Don't use that jelly stuff, it's not good for your Cham.

Using a bowl of water is discouraged. If you do have one to catch the excess water from a dripper, use a screen so your Cham cannot fall in and drown.

I would not use wild caught insects. Parasites are a big problem.

From the picture, you need much more plants. He needs leaves to drink off and hide behind. The reason he is aggressive is because he feels stressed and has nowhere to hide.

hmmm thx for the help. I bought more plants and i placed them in his sheet. He is happier. Also i gave him calcium with d3 and without. I changed the lighting. I provided him a lamp for the day and one for night. One is uv and the other gives him vitamin d and everything he needs. Also i changed his food. I bought food in a can and it seems he likes it :). True i havent seen him drink watter yet, but lately ive seen him licking the glass when i mist and im thinking maybe he is drinking the drops on the glass

He only needs one uv light. Basking light can be household bulb. You need to check basking temps. Don't let them get above 30c or he might be too hot. Calcium without d3 daily, calcium with d3 once every two weeks and a multivitamin every two weeks. No lights at night . They need complete darkness to sleep and a drop in they overnight to slow down their metabolism to allow them to sleep.
