k so not completely empty but i need some sort of cool live plant what would you recommend?? also if you guys have any other cool ideas im definately down to deck his home out lol and do you guys know if driftwood is bad to have inside???? juss got him yesterday so hes pretty stressed juss want to make his home better ya know

some plants that are cham friendly are schiffilera, which is a good plant for height in the cage , that or hybiscus... pothos are great for hanging and provide lots of vines in time for climbing.....
definitely get some greenery in there it really makes them feel more comfortable and less stressed!! :)

I also use ladders but most people think you and I are nuts.

Well , what do they know ??

Vines... Lots of vines. And drywood. But make sure you soak the drywood in bleach for a night to kill any germ or bacteria it may have carried with it in attempt to get your little guy sick :) Those are the two main things I can think of. Good luck!

One thing to note is your lighting situation. You'll need plenty of light for a hibiscus, while a porthos is really hard to kill. Ficus can be fickle, but you'll know its time to remove when they start dropping leaves en mass.

Ficus have a tendency to shed dramatically when there's a change in temperature or humidity due to the leaves stomata not being able to adjust, once the initial leaves are dropped new ones should grow which should be more tolerant of the current conditions, don't chuck just be patient.

Good info - thanks! I pulled my ficus out when it shed dramatically like that, and use it as a free range on my lanai, but nice to know it can stay in the cage as well!

Chameleon info you lot on here are teaching me, plants is where my knowledge currently lies. I've read over and over the use of ficus, schefflera, potshots and hibiscus, has anyone got anything else in their enclosures? I mean there seem to be a load of plants on the 'safe' lists but I have never seen a huge variety used
